The home we’ve created has welcomed thousands of community members, families, and visitors, offering a place where people can gather, enjoy great food, and share joyful moments together.
Our Founder
Shang Hai Restaurant wouldn’t be here today without the dedication and vision of Sikchak Chan and his wife, Miuling Chen. Mr and Mrs Chan opened the doors of Shang Hai Restaurant back in 2001 and created a staple for many in the Tri-Cities and Eastern Washington.
Mr. Chan, some would say, perfected every single dish on our menu. From our crab puffs, General Tso's Chicken, Pepper-Salted Shrimp, and many other signature dishes, he ensured the flavours would make people come back again and again.
Even though Mr Chan no longer owns Shanghai, as he happily retired, he continues to have a big influence in the restaurant with his decades of expertise and willingness to help whenever we call.
